Batman fans got a surprise in the form of a QR code last week when Warner Brothers released six new character posters for the film's July 20th release date. A QR code was embedded on printed posters and showcased at selected movie theatres. Once scanned, the code linked the user to the film's main website, revealing a secret never before seen Catwoman poster.

Imagine the amount of traffic their website would have generated from the social media ripple effect. Those lucky theatre goers would have no doubt immediately shared what they had viewed with their online communities. The featured poster was Facebooked, pinned, tweeted, retweeted, Tumblred and emailed a countless number of times, trickling down through the online masses.
